Naxalbari, 27th July: In a significant crackdown, police apprehended a young man, Raja Das, on charges of selling intoxicating injections near Khemchi, Naxalbari. Raja Das, a resident of New Rangia in Matigara, was caught red-handed during a meticulously planned police raid.
Sources reveal that Raja Das had traveled from Matigara to Bagdogra, engaging in the illicit sale of drugs. Acting on a crucial tip-off, law enforcement officials conducted the raid, seizing 184 injections and 3 mobile phones from his possession.
Raja Das is scheduled to appear before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Sunday. Authorities are delving deeper into the case, aiming to dismantle the network behind this drug trafficking operation.
