Sikkim Science Centre Added to State’s Tourist Map

Gangtok, Aug 4:  In a significant move, the Sikkim Science Centre has been officially included in the state’s tourist itinerary, according to Sikkim’s Department of Science and Technology (DST) Secretary, Sandeep Tambe. This inclusion aims to enhance the centre’s prominence and offer tourists a unique educational experience.

“Incorporating the Sikkim Science Centre into the tourist itinerary will help broaden the understanding of science and technology among visitors. The Centre offers a variety of interactive exhibits and programs that appeal to both children and adults,” Tambe stated on Saturday.

The centre boasts attractions such as a 3D theatre, planetarium, and innovation hub, providing an engaging and educational experience. Tourists will be encouraged to explore these features and participate in various activities. Tambe highlighted that this initiative will benefit the local community and school students by fostering a greater appreciation for science and technology and offering new learning opportunities.
