Naxalbari, 11th August: In a significant operation, Naxalbari police intercepted a truck at Satbhaiya More, seizing 12 buffaloes being transported without valid documentation. The individuals arrested in connection with the case, Kishan and Nandaji Yadav, both residents of Haryana, were apprehended during a routine inspection.
The truck, reportedly en route from Bihar to Assam, was halted by authorities, leading to the discovery of the buffaloes. The accused were unable to provide necessary transportation documents, resulting in their immediate arrest. On Sunday, they were presented in Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court. Naxalbari police are now thoroughly investigating the case to uncover further details of this illegal trafficking attempt.
