Siliguri, 08th August: The Darjeeling District Left Front organized a condolence rally in Siliguri to pay tribute to former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. The procession began on Thursday from Anil Biswas Bhawan, drawing significant participation from CPI(M) leaders, including Ashok Bhattacharya and Jibesh Sarkar, alongside party activists.
The rally proceeded through key routes—Hill Cart Road, Sevoke Road, and Bidhan Road—before returning to its starting point at Anil Biswas Bhawan. During the event, Left leader Jibesh Sarkar expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Comrade Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. He emphasized the importance of continuing to uphold the ideology and principles that the late leader stood for, underlining the enduring impact of his leadership on the party and the community.
