Pakyong, 14 August: The All Sikkim Khas Chhetri Bahun Welfare Association (ASKCBS) has strongly condemned the brutal attack on Mr. Motilal Koirala, a respected educator and principal of Government Senior Secondary School in Samdong. The incident occurred a few days ago during a football match at the school’s playground when a group of anti-social elements launched a life-threatening assault on Mr. Koirala, crossing all moral boundaries.
Mr. Koirala, a prominent figure in the Sikkimese Khas community and a two-time National Award recipient for his contributions to education, was targeted in this shocking incident. ASKCBS expressed deep concern, labeling the attack as a blatant attempt at murder and urged authorities to take swift legal action against those responsible.
The Association emphasized the attack’s severity, which occurred on school grounds—a space meant for peace and learning. ASKCBS called for immediate steps to ensure the safety of educators and prevent further violence. The community remains in shock, with calls for increased security measures to protect educators and uphold peace in Sikkim.
