GANGTOK, Sikkim: The Sikkim Blue Duke Festival 2025, set to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on February 14 at Saramsa Garden near Ranipool, promises to be a landmark event in the state’s Golden Jubilee Celebrations of statehood. The three-day festival, running until February 16, will showcase a dynamic blend of cutting-edge technology, rich cultural heritage, and culinary delights, aligning with the Chief Minister’s vision of ‘Sunaulo Sikkim, Samriddha Sikkim, Samartha Sikkim’ (Beautiful Sikkim, Prosperous Sikkim, Capable Sikkim).
Conceived by Lok Sabha MP Indra Hang Subba, the festival is designed to engage students and youth, offering them a platform to explore emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), drones, and robotics. Through hands-on experiences guided by industry experts, attendees will gain practical insights into how these technologies are transforming industries and shaping the future.
Organizers have emphasized the festival’s role in equipping Sikkim’s younger generation with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape. By fostering innovation and creativity, the event aims to bridge the gap between theoretical education and real-world applications, opening new avenues for education and career growth.
The festival is organized by Sikkim365, with support from the Department of Tourism, Government of Sikkim. The Press Club of Sikkim and Postitude are official partners, ensuring widespread participation and media coverage.
In addition to its technological focus, the Sikkim Blue Duke Festival 2025 will celebrate the state’s vibrant cultural traditions and culinary heritage. Attendees can expect a diverse array of cultural performances, traditional art displays, and local delicacies, offering a holistic experience that reflects Sikkim’s unique identity.
As Sikkim continues to position itself as a hub for technological innovation and cultural preservation, the festival serves as a testament to the state’s commitment to progress while honoring its roots. It is not just a celebration of 50 years of statehood but also a forward-looking initiative to inspire the next generation of innovators and leaders.
