Siliguri, 14th August: In a swift operation, NJP police successfully intercepted an attempted robbery, leading to the arrest of five suspects. The individuals were identified as Pintu Kumar from Falakata, and Pawan Kumar Mahato, Kundan Kumar Das, Abhishek Kumar, and Santosh Kumar, all hailing from Bihar.
Acting on a tip-off, NJP police officers were alerted on Tuesday night about a group of individuals planning a robbery in Siliguri. The suspects had gathered in a four-wheeler, intending to execute the crime on Canal Road. The police team swiftly arrived at the scene, arresting all five suspects and seizing the vehicle designed for the criminal activities.
The arrested individuals were presented in Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday. Further investigations are underway to uncover additional details related to the case.
