Siliguri, 10th August: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Siliguri arrested Jeetu Barman after seizing heroin worth several crores. The operation was conducted near Batasi railway station based on a tip-off.
During the raid, 417 grams of heroin were recovered from Barman’s possession. Following the arrest, Barman was presented before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Saturday, where he was remanded to two days of jail custody.
He is set to appear in the NDPS court on Monday. The NCB is continuing its investigation into the case, probing further leads and connections related to the drug seizure.
